Libby Bottrell

Libby has over thirty years of kayaking experience. She has taught basic kayaking classes through Mr. Canoe's Paddlesports and Santa Rosa Junior College, and roll lessons through the Sierra Club Sequoia Paddlers for over twelve years. She has been leading tour groups in this area of Baja for twenty years.

I feel that this area of the Sea of Cortez is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I can't put into words what living here has done for my body, mind and soul, but I sure would like to pass this profound experience on to others who would like to share it with me.

John Janus

John has been leading tours in Baja for over ten years. He created, owned and operated tours on a high-tech catamaran in San Francisco Bay for eight years. He has been exploring the oceans around Baja for several years and he hopes to bring sailing to Los Pelicanos Adventures.

To me, Baja is a really special place. I enjoy the remoteness and the pristine beauty of the Sea of Cortez, where the subtle beauties of the desert meet the ocean. And working with the local people has been a unique, rewarding and enjoyable experience — I am amazed at their ingenuity and pure love of life.

Martín Velez

Martín is a member of our local family. He has been leading mule rides for a U.S.-based tour company for eight years. He is presently training to become a commercial sea-kayaking guide. He is amiable and excited about his new profession. He'll be happy to trade you Spanish for English lessons!
